The Cleveland Cultural Gardens were founded in 1916 with the dedication of the Shakespeare Garden, now called British.  This string of 29 nationality gardens is unique to Cleveland and for that matter unique to this country and the world.  Various nationalities that call Cleveland home have collaborated in development of their respective garden to memorialize and share with the world their culture and history.  Thus, this unique park is a great educational tool where you can see statues to some of the greats of history such as Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Dante, Liszt, as well as countless others.  Addition of new gardens is anticipated in the near furture as plans are being currently developed.
