The Croatian Heritage Museum & Library were established in 1983 with the construction of the American Croatian Lodge, "Cardinal A. Stepinac".  The Museum is committed to the collection and preservation of Croatian history, culture source materials and artifacts.  Exhibits include folk art, fine art, and documentaries about Croatia. The Heritage Library is primarily a resource library with 6,000 books and many AV materials.  In 2009 the development of the Croatian Cultural Garden in Rockefeller Park was added as a special project. A bronze statue of the "Immigrant Mother" by Joseph Turkaly was dedicated in 2012 and a replica of the Prince Viseslav Baptismal Font in 2014.
